With no existing audience and a crowded DIY category filled with similar products, String Ring faced an uphill battle. In partnership with Enventys, the team launched their first Kickstarter campaign and proved that emotional storytelling, thoughtful positioning, and smart paid media could turn a creative idea into a six-figure launch.

Launching a craft product on Kickstarter isn’t easy especially in a crowded DIY market. String Ring had no existing audience and faced similar products already available elsewhere, making early traction and social proof critical. The challenge wasn’t just awareness, but clearly standing out.

String Ring launched with no existing audience in a crowded DIY market, and still fully funded its $10,000 Kickstarter goal in just three days. By the end of the campaign, the project had raised $151,698, reaching 1,516% of its funding goal and attracting 1,794 backers.
Paid media played a critical role in driving early momentum and sustained performance throughout the campaign. Across Meta campaigns, our advertising team generated $116,301 in attributed revenue, resulting in 1,312 tracked purchases. Performance improved steadily over time through creative iteration, structured retargeting sequences, and continuous optimization as budgets scaled.
We also layered in a variety of third-party promotional opportunities to support incremental funding. These partners generated over $6,000 in additional revenue. Reinforcing that the campaign’s success was driven primarily by strong positioning, creative strategy, and paid media execution.
