Legion Solar 5
The Background
Legion Solar 5 is a do-it-yourself solar system with battery storage, off-grid power and artificial intelligence. The team who created this product, PLX Devices Inc., came to Enventys Partners needing help with its launch on Indiegogo. The client knew we were capable of making a positive impact on their latest creation since we worked on their last project, Legion Solar 4, and three of their other campaigns. With a history of proven expertise and execution in tow, our team was tasked with driving relevant traffic to Legion Solar 5’s crowdfunding page through Facebook advertising.

Our Approach
Our approach to Facebook advertising involved testing a variety of ads; then optimizing what worked best. We tried out several ad formats including purchase and add-to-cart conversion campaigns, in which Facebook helps us find people who are most likely to purchase as well as those who are most likely to just add to cart. On top of testing several different ad copy and assets, we also tried out a combination of audiences. Though we targeted both lookalike audiences and custom lists, what proved most successful were our internal custom lists. Once we determined what ads and audiences to focus on, our team scaled the ad spend.
The Results
Within the first day of the campaign, Legion Solar 5 hit its $20,000 fundraising goal. Our Facebook advertising achieved over 10x ROAS. By the end of the campaign, PLX Devices Inc. had $1,009,263 with the help of 599 backers.
